The Hotel Academia in Stará Lesná is a property of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. It is situated in the north part of Slovakia in High Tatras with highest peak Gerlachovský štít (2655 m) being the highest one in Slovakia and whole Carpatian mountains. Getting to Hotel Academia.

Fly to Poprad, or Krakow, or Košice, or Bratislava, or Wien. There are cheap flights to these destinations operated by Sky Europe, Ryan Air. Bratislava and Wien are bit further, approximatively 4-5 hours by Intercity train.
⟩⟩⟩ By train:
The closest railway junction is in Poprad from where you can take a train to Tatranská Lomnica, or tram to Starý Smokovec. It is a bit complicated and train stops are approximatively 500 m from the Hotel Academia. We will provide more details later. For planning your trip visit http://www.cp.sk.
