Project Mission:
The goal of this project is to develop further mathematical structures suitable for addressing current challenges of the quantum information processing field. In particular, we intend to deepen the current understanding of higher order maps, i.e. hierarchies of maps obtained by considering mappings between maps with certain causal or even non-causal structure of inputs and outputs. The proposed project plans to characterize properties of quantum evolutions from incomplete tests, investigate higher order maps from the perspective of quantum thermodynamics and use them to study interplay between quantum information and gravity.
